Ensemble were appointed to progress a commission to renovate the historically significant 1914 Old Lodge building at Drayton on behalf of Hidden Talents Development. Ensemble lead the technical realisation of the Old Lodge conversion into 8 luxury apartments and townhouses, as well as ongoing design resolution.

Ensemble evolved the design originally produced by Lucas+Western Architects, who worked to achieve planning consent for the masterplan in 2018 and initiated technical proposals for the Old Lodge conversion.

The proposals including the repair and upgrade of the original building fabric to meet high standards of energy efficiency. Sensitive upgrades included the installation of slim-line secondary glazing, the installation of internal wall insulation and roof insulation and upgrades to the heating and electrical systems, in line with the principles of PAS 2035.
