Old Manor, Trunch

Residential / Conservation / Retrofit

A gem of a 16th century home, Old Manor is a Grade 2* listed house in North Norfolk previously thought to have been the home of a good friend of Lord Nelson. Having fallen into disrepair over the last 70 years, our client bought the home with a dream of restoring the building sympathetically and to suit modern living requirements. The house was rigorously appraised using photogrammetry and heritage surveys to create detailed existing drawings before developing light-touch proposals that would preserve the existing qualities of the building and enhance the charm and liveability. As part of our scope of work, we visually catalogued nearly 50 windows and developed detailed technical restoration proposals for each one. We were delighted to receive feedback from the Conservation Officer stating that our proposals were generally ‘beyond criticism’.

Budget Approx £300k.
