The owners of Tidebrook Manor Farm Barn saw an opportunity to create an income from their underused barn, positioned on their farmland, to help with the downward turn in the viability of farming. The barn, built originally for agricultural use, offered the perfect shell for conversion into a holiday let for families or groups. The proposed works are contained within the envelope of the existing barn, avoiding any extensions or alterations to the footprint. The design of the layout looks to create playful, dynamic spaces that make the most of the large volume.
