Our client’s family home in the centre of a North Norfolk market town had become to large for their needs, given that their children had now all flown the nest. We worked together to explore how the existing property might be split into separate accommodation. The resulting two-property development captures the potential of the site and its mature trees, whilst being respectful to the grain of existing development within the town. In particular, a single-storey home reaches out into the south garden via a striking new extension to capture sunlight and pull into the heart of the house.  Overall a 5-bedroom townhouse and a generous 2-bedroom home have been formed and creatively split to ensure both are detached to meet the client’s preferences.
