ENSEMBLE have developed a unique architecture board game and workshop game called Charrette™. The game involves the design and development of a typical blank Norfolk field using 3D model pieces. The game guides players through the process of design, from the clients’ brief, to the architect’s concept and statutory parameters.  The idea for the development of the game was born from presenting design proposals at public consultation events and realising that the community interpretation of the process varied greatly. The game looks to upskill Parish Councils, community groups, etc. to allow them to make informed comments and decisions on development projects.

We have run the workshop with North Norfolk District Council Development Team, Broadland Housing, Parish Councils and schools throughout Norfolk.
