Wisiwig House

Residential / New Build

We had a lot of fun developing proposals for this family who were looking to replace their 1950’s alternative construction bungalow with a solid, bright and inspiring new home. The design very much looked to explore the potential of overlapping internal spaces so that the family could interact easily without getting in each others’ way the whole time. We therefore looked to have segmented open-plan to ground floor with oversized halls that could become homework break out spaces. The massing and external design picked up subtly on traditional Norfolk massings, overlaid with arts and crafts references and a general focus on celebrating traditional craftsmanship.
